The Vermont AHEC Network is currently recruiting UVM graduate students in health-related fields of study to mentor Vermont youth. Mentors will work with Vermont high school students enrolled in the HERO program. HERO participants are interested in exploring careers in healthcare. The HERO program supports health science learning, health career pathway planning, and professional skill development.
Mentors must commit to a maximum of 2 hours per week from October through January. Mentors receive initial training and are provided with materials and coaching throughout the program. Mentoring is conducted one-to-one and in small groups online. Some in-person opportunities will be provided for mentors and youth to connect.
