University of Vermont Project ECHO
ECHO programs are offered at no-cost to participants through a grant from the Vermont Department of Health and participants receive free CE credits. UVM Project ECHO is cohort based, drawing participants from across the state. Each virtual learning session includes a brief lecture, a case presentation, and discussion. Cohort participants commit to participating in the full series, submitting cases, using a webcam, and actively participating in the zoom session.
The University of Vermont (UVM) Office of Continuing Medical and Interprofessional Education (CMIE) is approved as a provider of Continuing Medical Education (CME) by the ACCME. Depending on the target audience for each series, CE is available for nurses, social workers, medical providers, and other health professionals.

About Project ECHO
Project ECHO® (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is an evidence-based interactive distance-learning method developed by researchers at the University of New Mexico. The ECHO model™ links teams of interdisciplinary specialists with primary care clinicians. During ECHO™ sessions, experts mentor and share their expertise across a virtual network via case-based learning, enabling primary care practice teams to treat patients with complex conditions in their own communities.
